The 2nd Annual Texas Mushroom Conference was nothing short of spectacular. Held on May 26th, 2024, at the beautiful Etter-Harbin Alumni Center in Austin, this one-day event brought together a vibrant mix of vendors, panels, and live demos — all celebrating the ever-growing world of fungi.

We made the road trip from California to Texas, soaking in the sights along the way and even stopping in El Paso for a little adventure before rolling into the heart of Austin. The city’s eclectic energy set the perfect stage for a day filled with community connection and mycological magic.

The event lineup was stacked. We joined forces with friends and fellow brands like Mycro Boost, Culture Shrooms, and Oklahoma Fungi, alongside a powerhouse roster of vendors including Four Sigmatic, Shroomeats, Sol Bru, Shroomed, Everyday Dose, Fungies, Grow.bio, and so many more (all proudly shown on the event flyer). Inside, the vendor floor buzzed with activity — from innovative product showcases to hands-on learning opportunities that had attendees engaged from start to finish.

Panels and demonstrations dove into everything from cultivation techniques to the cultural impact of mushrooms, offering something for curious beginners and seasoned mycophiles alike. Myceliumatters did an incredible job curating not only the educational content but also a warm, inclusive vibe that made the long trip completely worth it.

Yes, it was hot (Texas in May doesn’t mess around), but the enthusiasm, energy, and community spirit more than made up for it. By the end of the day, we were already looking forward to the next time we’d get to return to Austin’s growing mushroom scene.
