Sometimes the best events are the ones you don’t have to work

The day after Entheogen Expo we were running on fumes. Part of me thought about skipping and just heading home but we had friends to support and a chance to see something special. Culture Shrooms had set up a “Culture Shrooms Lounge” inside the festival and I knew we’d regret not going

Love Long Beach Festival takes place right on the water at Shoreline Aquatic Park. It’s a two day event but we just came for the second day. Walking in you could feel that mix of ocean air and music drifting through the space. People were dancing in colorful outfits, DJs were throwing down beats, and the whole place had this open joyful energy

One of the highlights for us was catching a workshop by Jonathan Garner from The Meddling Mushroom. He’s a veteran and educator we really respect and it was great to see him sharing his knowledge with such a big and varied audience. We spent most of the day hanging with Max and Aixa from Mycelium Matters and Omar from Culture Shrooms, just enjoying the space without worrying about a booth or sales

It was also amazing to see how many other vendors were there. Love Long Beach clearly isn’t a mushroom festival but the fact that they made space for Culture Shrooms to host a lounge and bring in myco education says a lot about how far this movement is reaching

We left that night tired but full. The kind of tired that comes from good music, great people, and knowing you showed up for your friends
