Mushroom Events in the U.S.A.

On April 13th, 2024, Twisted Tree Nursery joined forces with top names in the mycology community to celebrate the soft launch of Culture Shrooms’ second location in Arcata, California. Surrounded by the magic of Humboldt County’s redwoods, the event featured live music from David Poplin’s band, an impressive lineup of vendors, and giveaways that kept the energy high. The weekend included group hikes to Fern Canyon, shared laughs in a cozy Airbnb, and the strengthening of bonds within the mushroom community. More than just a launch, it marked the beginning of a new chapter and a permanent home base in Humboldt.

On April 6 2024 Twisted Tree Nursery traveled to Sacramento to sponsor a kids grow class presented by Myco Thumb. Held on a welcoming small farm in Citrus Heights, the event gave children the chance to mix their own colonized lion’s mane grain with Twisted Tree’s Master’s Mix substrate. Hosted by Zack of Myco Thumb, the day was filled with hands-on learning, new friendships, and community spirit. Highlights included meeting local families, enjoying the hospitality of the property owners, and a surprise visit from Sacramento native Poppa Cap and his partner Karissa.

On February 14 2024 Twisted Tree Nursery kicked off the year at Shroomski Night in Denver, Colorado, hosted by Anthony of Shroomski magazine. Held at the historic Iron Works venue during a Valentine’s Day snowstorm, the event blended psychedelic culture, visionary art, and community connection. Visuals from @android_jones and @l1ghtbrush transformed the space, while eclectic vendors, live art, and a live art auction kept the energy high. Twisted Tree vended alongside long-time partners Colorado Cultures, making new connections and celebrating the unique creative space Shroomski has built for the psychedelic and mushroom community.

On December 15 2023 Twisted Tree Nursery joined Mycelium Matters at Culture Shrooms in Long Beach for a holiday Toys 4 Tots drive. In celebration of their AlpacaSoil collaboration with Culture Shrooms, Twisted Tree gave away AlpacaSoil while attendees enjoyed mushroom hot chocolate, mushroom grow kits, and mushroom-themed gifts. Donations from the event were sent to the Uganda Mushroom Farm, extending the impact of the day across the globe. Filled with gratitude, generosity, and community connection, the event was a heartfelt way to close out the year.

On October 15 2023 we rolled into the Farmers Public Market in Oklahoma City for the first Oklahoma Fungi Festival hosted by Jacob DeVecchio. We towed a 1975 Ford Pullman camper 1400 miles and turned it into a Twisted Tree hang zone outside the event. The weekend was stacked with speakers workshops and a huge vendor lineup including MycTyson from Performance Fungi Myco Mentor Max from Golden Mushroom Co Mossy Creek Mushrooms Inoculate the World Culture Shrooms Mycelium Matters and many more. We sponsored the vendor bowling party and collaborated on Twisted Tree Village an interactive art space by Creative 24 and High Hope Productions by @highitstarra. The crowd was nonstop and we sold out of everything within hours. New friendships real business partnerships and a major leap forward for our presence in the myco world
